This is the final webinar in the series 'Dentistry for the Homeless'

Mobile dental surgeries can be a model to provide care for homeless and vulnerable groups. This model can be an effective way of taking care out in to the community, but requires planning and understanding of what is achievable and safe care to provide for patients. 

Aims

This course aims to provide learners with knowledge and understanding of how mobile dental surgeries can provide care for homeless people and vulnerable groups. 

Objectives

During this course learners will be able to:

  • Appreciate the challenges of providing care using a mobile dental surgery.
  • Outline how, using this model of care, dental care can be taken into communities who are 'hard to reach'.
  • Understand what dental care can be provided using this model.

Learning Outcomes

After completing this course the learner will gain an understanding of:

  • How to describe planning and provision of dental care using a mobile dental surgery.
