Dental extractions are one of the most commonly undertaken procedures in dentistry. However, for some dentists it can be a stressful and daunting treatment to undertake. This recorded webinar explores the importance of planning and the salient aspects in the assessment that should be considered.

Aims

This course aims to provide dental professionals with an understanding of the importance of planning and assessment, of the patient prior to an oral surgery procedure.

Objectives

During this course learners will be able to:

  • Understand which factors to consider when assessing a patient prior to an oral surgery procedure.
  • Explain the importance of a 'surgical plan' to minimise the risk of complications.
  • Understand team work when undertaking oral surgery.
