  • About This Course

This course educates you about the most common slip, trip, and fall hazards and why they might develop in your workplace, as well as how to carry out a risk assessment.

It teaches you how to prevent hazards from posing a risk to employees through the implementation of control measures, such as good housekeeping, changes to design, thorough maintenance, suitable flooring and footwear, proper cleaning, and safe practices for working at height. By taking this course, you’ll be fully prepared to prevent people from slipping, tripping, or falling in the workplace.

Aims

This course aims to help learners understand the most common slip, trip, and fall hazards and why they might develop in the workplace. An overview of how to carry out a risk assessment is given.

Objectives

  • To introduce the common reasons for slips, trips and falls in the workplace.
  • How to identify potential slip, trip or fall scenarios by completing a risk assessment.
  • To review control measures that can be implemented to reduce the risk.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this module you will understand the common causes of slips, trips and falls in the workplace, and be able to complete a risk assessment to implement the prevention measures required to remove those risks.
