Mouth Cancer Action Month is held in November every year and is supported by the Mouth Cancer Foundation and the Oral Health Foundation.

This recorded webinar is in collaboration with the Mouth Cancer Foundation and is a part of a series of webinars on the subject of mouth cancer.

This webinar looks at the treatment options and ongoing care for the mouth cancer patient.

Aims

This course aims to provide learners with knowledge and understanding of treatment options and ongoing care for the mouth cancer patient.

Objectives

 During this course learners will be able to:

  • Understand how the patient may be treated, looking at medical and surgical care showing the patient journey.
  • Understand the treatment options and prognosis.
  • Outline long term and short term care what would be expected in GDP.
  • Explain the long term effects of treatment from dry mouth, radiotherapy and surgery.

After completing this course the learner will gain an understanding of:

  • The treatment options and prognosis.
  • The long and short term care that may be expected in primary care.
