Mentoring in Implant Dentistry has significantly changed over the decades. From what was a informal relationship between two clinicians, often one more experienced than the other, to now, an established and recognised format.

This recorded webinar helps both mentors and mentees in Implant Dentistry understand what the new guidelines are and why they were developed, and provides an insight into what is expected from each other during the mentoring process.

Aims

This course aims to provide learners with knowledge and understanding of mentoring in implant dentistry and what the new guidelines are, why they were developed and provides an insight into what is expected from both mentors and mentees during the mentoring process.

Objectives

During this course learners will be able to:

  • Discuss the importance of the mentoring process.
  • Describe the mentoring process.
  • Understand the processes involved in mentoring.
  • Understand the long-term relationship and follow-up required in implant mentoring.

After completing this course, the learner will gain an understanding of:

  • The national guidelines and the processes required in mentoring for implant dentistry.
