Placing a dental implant in an extraction site is somewhat different to placing it in a healed site, and even more so when we are considering implants in full arch treatment. This recorded webinar will look at the considerations for immediate implant placement in these situations with a focus on achieving primary stability to ensure the implants can be immediately loaded.

Aims

This course aims to provide learners with knowledge and understanding of full arch treatment and the placement of an implant in an extraction site. The considerations for immediate implant placement will be discussed, with a focus on how to achieve primary stability, ensuring that implants can be immediately loaded.

Objectives

During this course learners will be able to:

  • Understand atraumatic extraction techniques.
  • Explain the principles of immediate implant placement.
  • Discuss the importance of bone levelling in full arch implant surgery.
  • Discuss implant positioning for immediate full arch surgery.
  • Understand anterior-posterior spread and its significance.
  • Discuss methods of achieving primary stability, including implant design features.

Learning Outcomes
