  • About This Course

This is the eighth module in our Endodontics series of 10 recorded webinars.

It covers endodontic obturation.

The series is provided by a collaboration of experts in the field.

In this series, we endeavour to provide a unified learning platform, providing sound evidence based practical solutions to common problems encountered in day to day practice of endodontics.

At the end of this programme of ten modules, you will understand current, independent evidence based advice and increase your knowledge about how to improve your endodontic treatment.

This module is also available as part of a complete set of 10 Modules - P340 Endodontic Series

Aims

This course aims to provide learners with knowledge and understanding of the final stages of the endodontic treatment -  how to effectively and successfully obturate, so that the tooth can be successfully restored.

Objectives

  • Detail how to obturate within the constriction.
  • Understand how to determine the optimal obturation length.
  • Outline how to maintain an obturation limit within the apical terminus.
  • Explain how to completley fill in 3 dimensions - to get a 3D seal.
  • Outline how to choose an appropriate fill material/sealer.
  • Explain the use the most effective instrumentation and techniques.
  • Explain how to achieve effective temporisation, where necessary.
  • Outline hoe to complete a dense radiopaque filling of the pulp space.
  • Understand how to allow for effective restoration of the tooth.

Learning Outcomes
