This webinar will explore the use of the Hall Technique for managing caries in primary molars and will focus on the theory, indications and contraindications for the use of the Hall Technique. Tips for the placement of Hall crowns, the structuring of appointments, challenges with the Hall technique and how to overcome potential difficulties which may arise will be discussed.

The Speakers
Reuben Bennett
Reuben is a DCT2 currently working in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Oral Medicine in Bristol. He graduated from Newcastle University in 2019, before undertaking his Dental Foundation Training in the North West of England. Following this, he worked as a DCT1 at King's College Hospital in a General Duties role. Reuben's interests include Paediatric Dentistry, along with mouth care and oral health education within inpatient hospitals and Paediatric Hospices.
Yi Loo
Registrar in Paediatric Dentistry at King's College Hospital, London
Yi is currently a registrar in Paediatric Dentistry at King's College Hospital, London. Prior to this, she worked in general dental practice and taught as a Clinical Lecturer in the North-East of England and London. She holds Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh and has developed a specialist interest in dental sedation since graduating from Newcastle Dental School in 2007. She achieved the Diploma in Conscious Sedation from Newcastle University in 2010 and is a Trustee of the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry (SAAD) and Deputy Editor of the SAAD Digest
Nabeel Ilyas
Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry, Registrar in Birmingham Community NHS trust and Birmingham Children's Hospital
Nabeel Ilyas is a specialist in paediatric dentistry and current Post-CCST registrar in Birmingham Community NHS trust and Birmingham Children's Hospital. Nabeel graduated from King's College London in 2015. Following a year in general practice in the Berkshire deanery he completed Oral and Maxillofacial training in Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth and further training in Bristol Dental Hospital in both paediatric and restorative dentistry. Nabeel completed his specialist training at King's College Hospital and was succesfully awarded an MSc with distinction in paediatric dentistry from King's College London. Nabeel has gained a wide range of experience in managing children with trauma and was awared first place in the prestigious Dental Trauma UK case report prize in 2021. His interests include acute and long-term trauma management, managing anxious children and the use of inhalation sedation.
