About This Course
“Our patients are adaptable”, that’s what I hear but how do we know. Do they adapt by reducing the chewing movement so to avoid any pain or complications, therefore have we simply restored the tooth, or can we improve the functionality of the system? How do we assess the functionality when we use an articulator to replicate these movements? A lot of unanswered questions so now with digital and 4D technology can we answer these questions.
Aims
This course aims to provide learners with knowledge and understanding of the benefits of using 4D technology when managing occlusion.
Objectives
During this course learners will be able to:
- Question the pillars of occlusion.
- Understand how to record accurately the functional movements of our patients.
- Understand the importance of functional occlusion.
- Provide a basis for understanding the link between the TMJ and movement.
Learning Outcomes
After completing this course the learner will gain an understanding of:
- The benefits of using 4D technology when managing occlusion.
