Chet Trivedy

Consultant in Emergency Medicine, University Hospitals Sussex, NHS Foundation Trust. 

BDS FDS.RCS (Eng) MBBS PhD MCEM MFMLM

Chet is doubly qualified in dentistry and medicine and currently works as an emergency medicine consultant. He holds Fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons as well as the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners. He also holds a PhD in head and neck oncology from King’s College London.

He has over ten years experience in teaching on medical emergencies, safeguarding and mouth cancer. He has published over 25 peer publications and two textbooks on emergency medicine. He is a past trustee of the Oral Health Foundation. He was involved in developing the FGDP COVID-19 guidance. He has over 15 years of experience in teaching doctors and dentists across the globe both at an undergraduate and postgraduate level. He is a member of the Royal College of emergency medicine.

He founded Boundaries for Life initiative which provides free dental and medical heath checks at England international cricket matches. He is also the author of a children’s book about a tiger and his missing dentures and runs a small tiger conservation initiative in India. He is passionate about oral health and is committed to raising the awareness and importance of oral health in mainstream medical practice.
