Ivoclar Vivadent 'New Universal Stain & Glaze Kit' is designed for efficiency.
Ivoclar Vivadent combines a new staining system and glazing solution for most cutting egde materials. The Universal range of stain and glaze materials for the press, Cad and layering ceramics from Ivoclar Vivadent and the Zenostar materials from Wieland Dental.
We all know what its like when a client is on the phone with specific demands and there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day! This new range of materials combines the properties of the IPS stain and glaze systems and reportedly enhances them by providing more versatility in a single assortment.
The new system is designed to increase economics efficiency in the laboratory (hurrah!), but the materials themselves give dental technicians the tools to produce the ultimate in life-like restorations.
A key advancement is the new glaze system which allows technicians to retain surface texture even with a high gloss. The grey or white discolouration that can happen after the first firing is also a thing of the past. Technicians can combine shades and customise the materials to do exactly what is needed for each individual case.
The new low-fusing glass composition also fires at temperatures of 710 degrees C and higher spans across a CTE range of 9.5-16.6 making it suitable for high and low fusing ceramic materials.
The system consists of shade materials for shading the restoration in accordance with the A-D shade guide and essence materials that are mixed with liquids to produce effect stains. The shades and essences also contain fluorescent particles to bring life to restorations.
We at 'All Ceramic Solutions' digital dental laboratory in Bradford and Newcastle have used the kit on a trial basis and found it to be excellent. We have ordered the full kit for both our labs.
