This recorded webinar looks at the role of CBCT in implant dentistry including training and regulations.

Aims

This course aims to provide learners with knowledge and understanding of the role of CBCT in implant dentistry including training and regulations. 

Objectives

 During this course learners will be able to:

  • Understand the basics of a CBCT machine and imagining, and the doses involved.
  • Understand conventional and digital planning and the role of the cone beam CT in implant planning.
  • Understand how to correctly refer a patient for a cone beam CT scan.
  • Understand the different levels of training and roles within the Health Protection Agency Guidelines, and the European CBCT Guidelines.
  • Explain the use of CBCT as a visual consent tool.

Learning Outcomes

After completing this course the learner will gain an understanding of:
