About This Course

This course will provide you with detail to apply knowledge of legionella bacteria, the law and management of legionella and basic monitoring procedures as well as basic remedial works.

For more in depth training for the responsible person a one day face to face course should be considered that is assessed and certificated.

This course aims to provide an overview of how to apply knowledge of legionella bacteria, the law and management of legionella and basic monitoring procedures as well as basic remedial works.

Objectives

• To review the background of Legionnaires Disease.
• To understand what systems are most at risk and identify the hazards.
• To implement the required control measures and checks for monitoring and documenting compliance.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of the course you will understand the background of Legionella. You will be able to identify potential hazards and implement control regimes, monitoring programmes and recording requirements to reduce the risk of Legionella spread.
