< Back to Global Remote and Rural Healthcare - How Can We Do It Better?

Dr Kiaran Weil

Kiaran Weil is a dentist with special interests in Oral Surgery, Emergency Dentistry, Behavioural Sciences and Medical Education.

Early in her career she was part of a pioneering programme, teaching behavioural sciences to dental students, at the University of Southern California. The aim of the programme was to provide a more patient centred, compassionate approach to healthcare, while also raising the students' self-awareness. Since then she has taught undergraduates and postgraduates in the UK, USA and more recently in Tanzania. She is keen to work in partnership with other colleagues providing training for remote and rural healthcare workers in order to improve access and quality of care in low resource settings.
