Sarah qualified from Bristol Dental School in 2000 and went on to complete her General Professional Training at Newcastle Dental Hospital and in general dental practice in Newcastle.  During this time she was awarded her MFDS qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons (Edin) 2002.

Sarah then spent a year in Australia where she worked in a range of environments – including general dental practice, the school dental service, dental hospital and also had the opportunity to work with the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Sarah returned to the UK in 2003, at which time she started working for the Salaried Dental Services where she developed an interest in sedation and special care dentistry.

She went on to complete her Diploma in Conscious Sedation at Newcastle Dental School in 2005.

She has also been involved in teaching students at Newcastle Dental Hospital, where she spent 7 years supervising students in the Dental Emergency Clinic.

She worked in general dental practice for a number of years whilst also continuing working within the salaried dental services in South of Tyne and Wear.

She was awarded her Membership in Special Care Dentistry in May 2010 from the Royal College of Surgeons (Edin) and later that year was successful in her application onto the Specialist list for Special Care Dentistry. 

Sarah now works solely in the salaried dental services, where she has developed sedation services for phobic patients and also patients with special needs.
