In collaboration with the College of General Dentistry, this recorded webinar examines the role of dental therapists in providing aesthetic dentistry within a UK dental practice setting. We review patient access through collaborative working and a shared care model, referrals, and direct access.

This course aims to provide learners with knowledge and understanding of the role of dental therapists in providing aesthetic dentistry within a UK dental practice setting. An overview of patient access through collaborative working and a shared care model, referrals, and direct access, is given.

Objectives

• To understand the role of dental therapists in aesthetic dentistry.
• To review how dental therapists can be utilised in the provision of aesthetic dental restorations in general dental practice.
• To examine existing barriers and challenges to utilising the optimal scope of dental therapists in providing aesthetic dentistry.
